What to do at Mellaai Wing Shooting.

Expect a wake up call at between 04h00 and 04h30 and gather for tea or coffee and rusks before heading out for the morning shooting session.

At 10h30 you will return to the lodge for brunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure on the banks of the Vaal dam.

At about 15h30 everybody convenes for high tea, before departing with the same personal  hunter and the necessary field staff team for the afternoons hunting session and as darkness descends it's time to return to the safety of the lodge to freshen up before dinner and late night discussion of the days hunting experience next to the campfire in the boma
Bird hunting with us is all in all, an once-in-a-lifetime experience.  Shooting methods are based on shooting the birds on their flight paths in the early mornings and the evenings.
Hot air balloon.

On special request a hot air balloon trip can be arranged and the giant candy-striped balloon lift off at first light and drift at the mercy of the wind for about an hour. The hot air balloon landing can be bumpy, so hold on tight then celebrate with a glass of bubbly. This memorable experience is highly recommended. Prizes on request.
